Chat Host

• Are you a people person? The Chat Host is the bread-and-butter of church online’s live stream Sundays at 7:00pm! This role includes welcoming people to the chat, asking ice-breaker questions, repeating main points from the message, and encouraging discussion within the chat.

Moment Post + Schedule

• We use “Moments” to post easily clickable buttons within the live chat. This is an organizational role that see’s a bit of the backend. You would be responsible for posting moments in the chat as the host directs people, as well as scheduling the moments to repeat in future services.

Online Prayer Response

• If you love to connect with people, listen, and respond with prayer, we would love to have you serving in Prayer Reponse! We have two avenues for online prayer: Sundays during the live stream at 7:00pm there is an option to request private prayer, one-on-one with a prayer leader. And secondly, throughout the week in our Discord server we have an open chat where anyone can make a prayer request. Serving in this role would mean being available on Sundays from 7:00pm-8:00pm for the live service and connecting with anyone who requests prayer, as well as checking in to Discord during the week to connect with anyone who has entered a prayer-request.

In-Person Camera Operator

• Each week we film portions of the live service to be used for Church Online. We have multiple camera angles which require an operator to track what’s happening on stage with the camera on a tripod. This is a great behind-the-scenes area to learn about camera lighting, framing, and how to set up a camera.

Video Editing

• Whether you want to put your video editing to use, or if you’re looking to learn about video editing, we have a few different opportunities for you to serve the online community! We have worship videos that need editing every few weeks, smaller projects like baptism videos, event promos, and recap videos. On top of video editing, we are always looking to create our own animations for church online like countdown videos, openers, transition effects, etc. If you have these skills or are looking to learn, let us know!

Growth Areas

Discord Community Hub

• Discord is a powerful tool with many different applications. It is open 24/7, with the opportunity to connect with people throughout the week. There are different channels meant for chat, others for sharing videos, as well as voice channels and video sharing. Currently we are using Discord for chatting with the church online community during the week as well as hosting our weekly small group video call. We’re looking to build this out in new ways, and we would love your help and ideas!

Online Small Group

• We are meeting weekly on Sundays at 8:00pm for an online small group through Discord. We’d love to grow this area and host multiple online groups at different times during the week. We have the ability to create more hubs with Discord that will work for multiple groups, but still keep the entire online community connected. If you are interested in growing this area, let us know!
